Typical Conference Committees. Exhibits Committee: Ensures proper handling of contracts, floor space, exhibitor registration, security, and other logistics; or management of an exhibits-management company.

Local Arrangements Committee: Works with local vendors, management companies, the conference, and other committees in the planning of the conference space, including room set-up, hiring of entertainment, tours, and other local logistics. Suggested Courses. This could include providing basic information, such as the organization's history, as well as responding to more specific requests made by participants.

A committee can work with each other group within an organization to prepare and maintain a calendar of events. This calendar may be used when booking facility space as well as for keeping members abreast of community goings-on.

Assign volunteers to help with hospitality, registration, venue setup, and the conference on a rotating basis. Arrive early for meetings and organise event planners to ensure that the room has adequate tables and seats for the presiding officers, audience, presenters, and activities.
